At Crackerjax we follow the national curriculum of Te Whariki and offer a wide variety of activities that will meet the needs of each child.

Crackerjax runs a daily programme of activities to encourage children to become active learners who explore, discover and learn through a variety of play. Both indoor and outdoor play activities are regularly changed to provide a variety of experiences. The programme includes time in mixed age groups as well as time in same age groups.

We believe that both toddlers and infants can learn from each other and that this mixed aged time together is an important part of their development. From time to time excursions out of the centre will be arranged. Parents may attend these trips if they wish. Permission slips will be given to parents/caregivers prior to the excursion. Those children who do not attend the trip will remain at the centre with a qualified staff member. Small walks from the centre will be arranged and approval for these is to be filled out on the enrollment form.

Regular newsletters/notices will be sent out to keep parents informed of activities at the centre.
